Discover your inner potential through movement and breathing practices such as Hatha Flow & Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Guided Meditations and Chanting bowls sessions, led by our qualified yoga & meditation instructor.
On Saturday night we will take our dinner Outside (weather permitting). We will settle on the top of the mountain and have a traditional alpine cheese fondue at the sunset. This outdoor meal experience will allow us to explore being back to the raw beauty of Nature and ourselves!

The chalet is in 1h 40min drive distance from Geneva and 2h 50min drive distance from Zurich.
If you travel by car, you can find the chalet by GPS / Waze. Rte de la Frasse 57, 1660 Château-d’Œx, Switzerland. There is parking outside.
Exclusively for our guests, there is a free optional pick up service from the local train station, called Château-d’Œx, to the accommodation. The pick up time is flexible on the arrival day, and must be booked in advance with a retreat organiser.

Chalet is surrounded by the mountains and forest of the gorgeous Pays d'Enhaut region. This valley is reachable by public transport (gorgeous belle epoque train) and it's 1h 40min drive from Geneva and 2h 50min drive from Zurich.
On a day when you might not feel like hiking, you may just relax on a long comfy chair and watch the mountains. Immerse into Swiss life while staying in this beautiful jewel chalet which has full comfort, the charm of 200 years and even a private SPA.
The Leader
Ruta Mikulenaite did her first hike back in 2013- she then realized that the real life is not happening in the indoor- office environment but rather outside.
This made her realize that she was missing something important in her life- connection with Nature. Since then, most of her time she spends outside- climbing, hiking, wild camping, walking in the forests, parks and other natural places. She has become hiking ‚guru‘ and is now passionate to share the most beautiful places in the Swiss Alps with the others. Retreat participants often say that Ruta's passion for Nature is contagious.
Ruta is a professional neuro-coach (Neuroleadership Institute, London), and forest therapy guide (Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, USA). Ruta is also a qualified mountain leader by Association of Swiss Mountain Guides.
By creating Be Outside Coaching movement, she has connected her 2 major passions: activities outside and human development. Be Outside Coaching delivers immersive and holistic Nature experiences in the different corners of pristine the Swiss Alps.
Yoga Teacher
Sahara is a 500h+ Yoga trained teacher.
She did her first 200h training in Norway, before she decided to go travel the world. She taught yoga wherever she could before landing in Costa Rica to do her 300h Hatha Vinyasa training.
Apart from Hatha and Vinyasa, Sahara also teaches Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Yogastrology. Her love for yoga came from her background in Dance. While in school she felt like she needed a practice to balance out her training and yoga became her best friend. Over the years Yoga has taught her so much more than just the physical benefits of the practice. It’s showed her how to bring balance back into her life and live from a place of Peace. It has taught her how to reconnect to Nature and appreciate the ebb and flow of the seasons around her.
It showed her the power of unifying her love with the patience of the Earth. Now Sahara teaches Yoga and Meditation in Private settings, allowing each student to get the most out of the practice that are tailored to them. All she wants is to share with the world the Magic Yoga has taught her, hoping that her teaching will inspires someone like it has inspired her.
Our guided walks are combining beginner and moderate levels: some hiking experience is preferable although not essential. The hike includes easy to moderate climbs and descents, and requires the hiker to have a basic level of fitness and wear comfortable waterproof boots and clothes.
Absolutely! During this retreat you will be introduced to morning yoga and evening meditation sessions that are suitable for all levels, including beginners. We recommend you consult with us before booking if you are pregnant, have an injury, are recovering from a disease or have a heart or blood pressure condition, or mental health issues.
The yoga classes and guided hikes will be led in English.
During this retreat, the chalet will host a maximum of 14 guests, which ensures everyone experiences the space they need to relax.
The chalet is fully equipped with towels, toiletries and yoga mats, we also provide snowshoes and poles. Bring comfortable clothing for on and off the yoga mat.
For outdoors we'll suggest bringing breathable warm inner layers, waterproof outer layers, waterproof hiking boots and hiking socks, a reusable water bottle, a small/medium-sized rucksack to pack your personal items, a hat, high-factor sunscreen and sunglasses.
Don’t forget to pack a swimsuit to enjoy the hot tub.
You can expect healthy, nourishing and tasty vegetarian meals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be packed full of natural, fresh local ingredients as much as possible. If you have any allergy please notify the organiser while booking the holiday.
Most of our guests are solo travellers and we highly recommend it for many reasons. It’s a great opportunity to create sacred space for yourself, to take a break from daily responsibilities, to make new friends, to gain a fresh perspective and even get to know yourself better. Typically our guests range in age between 25-65 and many are excited to be travelling by themselves for the first time.
All clients need to be adequately insured for all activities they are taking part in. Insurance must include repatriation and details should be provided at the beginning of each trip.
All European clients should obtain a European Health insurance card (EHIC), however, this is not a substitute for travel insurance.

Polly & Reuben put all their heart and soul into this retreat and did it amazing. Daily yoga, walking meditation and more. The chalet was very cosy and the nature around went perfectly well with yoga experience. Estelle, has lovingly cooked us balanced, varied and delicious meals. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the different cultures from all over were very inspiring. The organisation was excellent - we were picked up from Geneva Airport. The schedule worked out really nicely with yoga mostly practiced outdoors so we got to enjoy the beautiful French Alps air and views! The atmosphere that was created was also so conducive for relaxation. New friendships were made here and that’s so wonderful to be connecting with so many people from different walks of life. I had a really wonderful time and highly recommend this retreat!
